Job Description: |
Primarily responsible to oversee the everyday operations and functions of an organization. Monitors the daily activities or work program of the organization and reports them directly to the companys Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Responsible for designing, improving and implementing the systems the company uses to produce or deliver its products or services. The COO monitors and resolves issues regarding various aspects of the company’s operations like sales, marketing, production and human resources. He/she assures the system-wide implementation of company policies and procedures and finds ways to improve them.
Associate in this position actively takes care of the following tasks:
- Manages organizational operations
- Follows direction set by Chief Executive Officer and Board of
Directors
- Implements programs to ensure attainment of business plan
for growth and profit
- Provides direction and structure for operating units
- Advise the management team on key planning issues and
make recommendations on important business decisions
- Strategic planning and resource allocation
- Establishes operational processes/ process improvement
- Ensures quality control of all company output as pertains to
customer acquisition and delivery of services
- Ensures all department heads are fully informed of
operational objectives
- Sets operational and / or performance goals for each
department, which are aggressive, achievable and tied to
long-term goals
- Establishes and monitor performance-reporting systems
- Monitors department performance against performance
goals to ensure that progress is being made
- Conducts regular meetings with department heads to ensure
that priorities are clear and coordination is good.
- Ensures activities comply with organizational requirements
for quality management, legal stipulations, and general duty
of care.
- Facilitates resolution of issues between departments.
- Takes charge in high-priority crises

Academic Profile: |
Bachelors degree required; Masters/PhD preferred |
Professional Profile: |
- Five or more years of progressively responsible IT
experience is required.
- At least three of those years must be in a senior leadership
capacity in IT organizations.
- Must have demonstrated outstanding leadership including
working with diverse groups of people collaboratively in
gaining consensus, (help desks and public computing
facilities, infrastructure, administrative and the like);
managing professional staff; negotiating complex contracts;
budget management in a cost recovery environment;
delivering high-quality customer service; and success in
fostering a multi-cultural environment
- Should have experience in the investigation and analysis of
issues and use creative resourcefulness for successful
solutions to assure the programs and initiatives meet the
established goals
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and
presentation skills are required with a high degree of energy,
initiative, and organizational ability
