Job Description: Associates in this position are responsible for designing and implementing user-centered interfaces for windows applications, web applications and ecommerce / community websites. The position will collaborate with project managers, architects, IT analyst / engineers, and technical writers to refine and improve the user experience. This position will also be responsible for researching and sharing information on current industry trends, and will play a lead role in the development and promotion of UI coding best practices.
Academic Profile: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Applications, Mathematics or Engineering
Professional Profile: - Must be user-centric and focus on understanding windows and web system users’ behaviors based on their background (ex: cultural and educational aspects.)
- Must have deep experience with good UI design and implementation principles.
- Must be able to focus on user friendliness in user interfaces, by minimizing / eliminating unnecessary mouse clicks, mouse movements, keyboard entries, wrong keyboard focus, difficult navigation paths, complicated work flows, and in general any action that causes inefficiencies to the user.
- Must be able to offer suggestions to improve existing UIs by using focus groups, behavioral analysis, usability testing etc.
- Must be able to take the company’s corporate branding styles and blend it with new UI designs, style guides and graphics.
- Must have experience integrating video, voice, data, and personal media rich web pages with current trends like recommendation engines, social networking, blogs etc.
- Must have experience creating multiple static and/or interactive (dynamic) user interface prototypes, annotated wireframes, use cases, scenarios, storyboards, and visualizations.
- Must have in-depth experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Visio, Flash (with ActionScript), and Web 2.0 concepts.
- Must have exceptional design, visualization and aesthetic sense. Must have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details.
- Experience developing collages, animations, cartoons, presentation videos, PowerPoint templates, logos, icons, color themes, web page templates and document templates highly desirable.
- Experience in either Adobe Flex or Microsoft Silverlight highly desirable
Personal Profile: Prospective candidate should have
 - Leadership skills, maturity, charisma, diplomacy and ability to motivate multiple small technical teams on projects are absolutely essential.
 - Exceptional logical and analytical skills. Must be able to obtain a minimum score in the aptitude tests.
 - Superior communication skills. The candidate must be able to converse well in English, write grammatically correct English and deliver PowerPoint presentations to a sizeable audience.
 - Detail oriented individual. Ability to grasp discussion points in the finest detail on 4-6 hour discussion groups; ability to pay closest attention to aesthetic issues on deliverables such as a missing period or an unsuitable color.
 - High energy individual. Ability to work in high stress situations such as tight deadlines or mission critical deliveries. “Whatever it takes” attitude to complete deliverables to clients on time and with quality.
 - Mission oriented individual. On-time quality delivery, every time, all the time. The words “excuse” or “cannot” should not be in their vocabulary.
Casual attire on all days except Mondays. Monday is formal day when for men and women, business attire is a must. No exceptions. For men a collared full sleeve shirt, trousers, tie and closed shoes are mandatory. For women business suits, shirts-trousers and saris are only permissible. (Churidars are not permissible)
