Job Description: Associates in this position must have a strong combination of leadership skills, domain knowledge and technical acumen. Associates in this position actively participates in all phases of the systems development life-cycle. Associates in this position may need to closely interact with the customers at the requirements definition phase, use UML during analysis phase, apply object oriented design and architectural concepts in the high level design phase, employ in-depth skills to develop the data structures, user interfaces and algorithms during the detailed design phase, program / debug / build test cases / unit test in the implementation phase, perform software build / integration test / regression test / functional test in the integration phase, and manage the user acceptance and change control process in the deployment phase. It is quite unlikely that associates in this position will have to perform these tasks directly in that they will have junior members of the team to assist them in these tasks. Nevertheless, they must be proficient enough to perform these tasks on their own should the opportunity present itself.
Academic Profile: Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Applications, Mathematics or Engineering.
Professional Profile: - There are two kinds of roles typically hired for:
 1. Programmer
  - Certified MCAD/MCP (This is mandatory).
  - Four (4) years of full time post baccalaureate professional (not academic) experience in the following
   - Microsoft Development Studio.NET
   - C# and/or VB.NET
   - MS SQL Server 2000 (or later) and T-SQL
   - Microsoft Visual Source Safe
   - Microsoft Visio
   - COM, COM+
   - ADO.NET
   - Crystal Reports 10 (or later)
  - The candidate must have a strong knowledge of and experience with the following
   - Framework Class Libraries
   - Unified Modeling Language (UML)
   - Windows Applications
   - Web Applications
   - XML Web Service, Windows Service, Remoting, Serviced Components
   - Debugging, Testing, Configuration, Exception Management, Deployment
 2. Database Specialist
  - MCP certification with the SQL Server paper (70-229) cleared OR evidence of pursuing MCDBA OR evidence of pursuing Oracle DBA certification
  - Four (4) years of full time post baccalaureate professional (not academic) experience in the following
   - MS SQL Server 2000 (or later)
   - T-SQL
   - Oracle 9i (or later)
   - PL/SQL
   - Microsoft Visual Source Safe
   - Microsoft Visio
   - Crystal Reports 10 (or later)
  - The candidate must have a strong knowledge of and experience with the following
   - RDBMS concepts like Normalization, ERD, Joins, Keys, Constraints etc.
   - Stored procedures, Triggers, Functions, Views
   - Database Backups, Restoration
   - Database Performance Tuning, Volume Sizing

Other desirable skills for both the above roles include strong knowledge of
  - OOAD concepts
  - Design Patterns (GoF)
  - Application blocks, frameworks
Personal Profile: - Leadership skills, maturity, charisma, diplomacy and to motivate multiple small technical teams on projects are absolutely essential.
- Exceptional logical and analytical skills. Must be able to obtain a minimum score in the aptitude tests.
- Superior communication skills. The candidate must be able to converse well in english, write grammatically correct english and deliver powerpoint presentations to a sizeable audience.
- Detail oriented individual. Ability to grasp discussion points in the finest detail on 4-6 hour discussion groups; ability to pay closest attention to aesthetic issues on deliverables such as a missing period or an unsuitable color.
- High energy individual. Ability to work in high stress situations such as tight deadlines or mission critical deliveries. “Whatever it takes” attitude to complete deliverables to clients on time and with quality.
- Mission oriented individual. On-time quality delivery, every-time, all the time. The words “excuse” or “cannot” should not be in their vocabulary.
- Casual attire on all days except Mondays. Monday is formal day when for men and women, business attire is a must. No exceptions. For men a collared full sleeve shirt, trousers, tie and closed shoes are mandatory. For women business suits, shirts-trousers and saris are only permissible. (Churidars are not permissible)
