Bar Code Symbology & RF Identification
Symbolic Bar Codes and RFID and other smart technologies are used in many industries and for a variety of purposes related to data capture. ZEiSys has been involved in designing applications that incorporate these technologies.

Acquisition & Weight Checking
Just like it sounds, this technology is generally used to identify objects that are over or under specific weight requirements.

Image Acquisition & Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Optical character recognition
(OCR) is the process of converting an image of text, such as a scanned paper document or electronic fax file, into computer-editable text. During OCR, the software analyzes an image and converts the pictures of the characters to editable text based on the patterns of the pixels in the image. After OCR, you can export the converted text and use it with a variety of word-processing, page layout and spreadsheet applications.

Conveyance
Simply put, this is any method or means of carrying or transporting anything from place to place, using belt, roller and other conveyors, as well as sortation and robotics technology.

A majority of ZEiSysís solutions can be categorized as automatic identification technology (AIT), which is the broad term given to a host of technologies that are used to help machines identify objects such as bar codes, smart cards, voice recognition, some biometric technologies (retinal scans, for instance), optical character recognition (OCR), item unique identification (IUID), and radio frequency identification (RFID). Automatic identification is often coupled with automatic data capture since companies aim to identify items, capture information about them, and somehow get the data into a computer without having employees type it in. Most AIT systems are developed for the purposes of increasing efficiency, reducing data entry errors, and freeing up staff to perform more value-added functions (i.e., providing customer service).
